Competition 

1. 기둥의 존재 이유는 궁극적으로 기둥이 제공하는 기능에 있는 것이지 그것의 현상적 상태에 있는 것이 아니다. 기둥에 새로운 '무엇'을 추가하는 대신 본래의 존재 이유를 다시 맡기려 한다.  
   
   
2. 기존 기둥의 경간을 감당하기 위해 디자인은 가장 단순한 표현, 즉 거의 원시적인 구조적 해결만으로 완성된다. 
   
   
3. 실내에 들어선 사람들은 강의 반대편에서 기대하지 않은 경관을 마주하게 된다. 다리를 오르는 차들, 그것들이 내뿜는 잔광, 그들의 운동성 혹은 속도, 살아있는 교량의 아름다움. 

1. The column's raison d'être ultimately lies in its original function, not in its current state. Instead of adding a new "something" to the column, we want to give it back its original reason for being. 
   
2. To accommodate the span of the existing columns, the design is reduced to its simplest expression, an almost primitive structural solution.
   
3. Upon entering the interior, people are confronted with an unexpected view. The cars climbing the bridge, the afterglow they emit, their movement or speed, the beauty of a living bridge.
